Un controlador del modo kernel en Microsoft Windows XP SP3, Windows XP x64 XP2, Windows Server 2003 SP2, Windows Vista, Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 SP2 y R2 SP1, y Windows 8, permite una elevación de privilegios cuando no maneja apropiadamente los objetos en la memoria, también se conoce como "Win32k Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability". Este CVE es único de CVE-2017-0263.
