Firefox 1.0 no impide que el usuario arrastre un archivo ejecutable al escritorio cuando tiene el tipo de contenido image/gif pero una extensión peligrosa, como .bat o .exe, lo que permite a atacantes remotos eludir la restricción prevista y ejecutar comandos arbitrarios mediante archivos GIF malformados que aún pueden ser analizados por el analizador de archivos por lotes de Windows, también conocido como "firedragging".
